About the Role:
Job Summary

A phlebotomist I ensures the validity and integrity of clinical specimens. Performs duties such as executing doctors’ orders, handling special specimens, processing legal specimens, generating and distributing lab reports, etc. Works in a fast-paced environment with bio-hazard exposure. Supports various lab functions with minimal supervision and cares for patients across all age groups, adhering to safety and population-specific guidelines.

Minimum Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Licensure or certifications as required
Preferred Job Qualifications
  • Successful completion of NPA or ASCP certification in phlebotomy
  • Previous lab experience and bilingual skills are a plus
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to perform under stressful situations
  • Proficient in computer systems and MS Office
  • Effective communication skills
Responsibilities
  • Perform venipuncture and special collection techniques professionally

Physical Demands
