Quest Diagnostics in Dearborn, MI is seeking a Phlebotomist I for a Monday–Friday shift (10:00 AM–6:30 PM) with rotational weekends. The role involves specimen collection, data entry, and ensuring accurate test orders across lab systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical training preferred (medical assistant or paramedic).
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV and WA.
• One year phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Customer service in a retail/service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Research test/client information and confirm and verify all orders using lab tech systems and client contact.
• Navigate a computer and accurately enter data.
• Obtain identification and accurately enter billing information and collect payments per policy.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport.
