Job summary

Talentify is recruiting for a Phlebotomist I on 1st shift in Avon, CT. This contract role involves drawing blood, preparing specimens for testing, and maintaining patient safety and confidentiality under supervision.

The ideal candidate has basic phlebotomy skills, ability to work independently, and flexibility for weekend/holiday/overtime coverage. High school diploma and phlebotomy certification are preferred where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington).

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.
• Maintain a safe and professional environment.
• Perform with confidence the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
• Maintain required records and documentation.
• Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public in general.
