Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated seeks a Phlebotomist I for Colusa, CA, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM with rotational weekends. State phlebotomy license required; CA excludes NHA licenses. Pay range $21.80–$23.75 per hour.

Eligible for annual bonus and comprehensive benefits. Must have at least a High School diploma and phlebotomy training/certification preferred in CA, NV, WA. Responsibilities include collecting specimens, preparing samples, verifying orders, data entry, and assisting with

Qualifications

• One year phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures including drug screens and biometric screening.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify orders using lab systems and client contact.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Obtain ID, enter billing information and collect payments per policies.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones, emails.
• Read and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with statistics and data submissions.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and maintenance logs.
