Job Responsibilities
- Collect specimens per established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screenings, and insurance exams.
- Administer oral solutions following training.
- Research test/client information, verify orders, and utilize lab systems.
- Navigate computer systems and accurately enter data.
- Obtain identification, enter billing info, and collect payments as required.
- Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport.
- Perform non-patient duties: inventory, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, emailing.
- Follow departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.
- Assist with data compilation and submission.
- Maintain phlebotomy logs and complete training courses timely.
- Travel to additional sites as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical training preferred (medical assistant or paramedic).
- Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV, WA.
- 1-3 years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry skills.
