Job summary

Talentify’s client, a Medical Research company, seeks a Phlebotomist I for its Wesley Chapel, FL location. This entry-level role focuses on accurate blood collection and specimen prep while upholding patient trust and safety.

You will work under area supervision, handle documentation, and contribute to quality lab processes. A high school diploma is required, with phlebotomy certification preferred and at least 6 months of experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training is preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification is preferred.
• At least 6 months of phlebotomy experience.
• Customer service experience in retail or service settings is preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Represent the company to patients as the primary face during visits.
• Collect quality blood samples and prepare specimens for lab testing following established procedures.
• Explain procedures to patients and perform blood draws in a safe, accurate manner.
• Demonstrate leadership behaviors with focus on process excellence and patient confidentiality.
• Under supervision, perform daily activities accurately, maintain a safe environment and keep records up to date.

Job description

Our Client, a Medical Research company, is looking for a Phlebotomist I for their Wesley Chapel, FL location.

Responsibilities:

• The Phlebotomist I represents the face of the company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions.
• The Phlebotomist I draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
• The Phlebotomist I has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner.
• The Phlebotomist I will demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information.
• Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time. Maintain a safe and professional environment. Performs with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures. Maintains required records and documentation. Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public in general.

Requirements:
