Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Phlebotomist I for our Lakeland, FL location. The role involves drawing blood, preparing specimens for testing, and ensuring top-notch patient care in a professional setting.

Ideal candidates have at least 6 months of phlebotomy experience, high school diploma, and preferred phlebotomy certification. Training in data entry and customer service will be beneficial in this patient-facing role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification is preferred.
• 6 months of phlebotomy experience is needed.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training is preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience is a must.

Responsibilities

• Represents the face of the company to patients during health visits or lab samples collection.
• Draws high quality blood samples and prepares specimens for lab testing following established procedures.
• Explain procedures to patients and maintain a trustworthy, professional atmosphere.
• Demonstrates leadership behaviors and focuses on process accuracy and patient confidentiality.
• Under supervision, performs daily activities accurately, maintains records, and ensures a safe clinical environment.

Our Client, a Medical Research company, is looking for a Phlebotomist I for their Lakeland, FL location.

Responsibilities:

• The Phlebotomist I represents the face of the company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions.
• The Phlebotomist I draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
• The Phlebotomist I has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner.
• The Phlebotomist I will demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information.
• Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time. Maintain a safe and professional environment. Performs with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures. Maintains required records and documentation. Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public in general.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred
• 6 months of phlebotomy experience needed.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
