Phlebotomist I – Portland, OR
Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM, with rotational weekends.
Proof of COVID‑19 vaccination will be required; exemptions for medical and religious reasons will be considered if a conditional offer of employment is extended.
Pay range: $21.80+ per hour. Salary offers are based on skills, training, experience, education, and certifications. Successful candidates may be eligible for an annual performance bonus.

Responsibilities
- Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams.
- Administer oral solutions as trained.
- Research and confirm test/client information; verify written and electronic orders using laboratory technology systems, client contact, and approved tools.
- Navigate a computer and accurately enter data to support the role.
- Obtain identification, enter billing information, and collect payments when required, following corporate policies.
- Process specimens, including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport as required by test order.
- Perform non‑patient facing duties: inventory, stocking supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, and using email as appropriate.
- Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.
- Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data when required.
- Maintain all phlebotomy logs in a timely manner, including maintenance logs and temperature logs.
- Complete online and in‑person training courses in a timely fashion.
Qualifications
- Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic training preferred).
- Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
- Work Experience: One year phlebotomy experience preferred; customer service in a retail or service environment preferred; keyboard/data entry experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
