Job description

Phlebotomist I – Meridian, ID (Mon‑Fri 7:30 AM–4:30 PM, rotational weekends)

Pay range: $17.95+ per hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and certifications. Successful candidates may be eligible for an annual performance bonus.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams.
• Administer oral solutions per established training.
• Research test/client information, confirm and verify all written and electronic orders using lab technology and approved tools.
• Navigate a computer and accurately enter data.
• Obtain identification, accurately enter billing information, and collect payments as required following corporate policies.
• Process specimens (labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport) per test order.
• Perform all non‑patient‑facing duties: inventory, stock supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, and using email.
• Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures.
• Assist with compiling and submitting statistics and data when required.
• Maintain all appropriate phlebotomy logs in a timely manner (maintenance logs, temperature logs).
• Complete online and in‑person training courses on time.

Qualifications

Required Education

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred, required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Work Experience

• One year phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.

Other Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
