Job summary

Saint Francis Health System in Tulsa is seeking a part-time Phlebotomist for the South Campus. The schedule runs Sunday, Monday, Tuesday from 6:45pm to 7:15am, performing venipunctures and related specimen collection tasks.

Minimum education is a high school diploma or GED. No licensure is required. 0–6 months of related phlebotomy experience is acceptable, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Job Summary: Performs venipunctures, arterial punctures, and capillary sampling to obtain blood samples for laboratory testing. Enters orders for testing and accessions specimens in the computer system.

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED.

Work Experience: 0 - 6 month(s) related experience inclusive of on the job or classroom training in phlebotomy.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Basic PC Skills. Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Ability to draw blood specimens.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Collects patient specimens competently and accurately. Supports the general operation of the Laboratory. Documents collection and processes specimens efficiently. Performs phlebotomy collections in a timende manner.

Decision Making: Independent judgment in making minor decisions where alternatives are limited and standard policies/protocols have been established.
