Responsibilities

• Assist patients in preparation for venipuncture procedures.
• Perform venipuncture using universal precautions to ensure patient care.
• Complete all required paperwork and documentation for exams.
• Use Order Entry System to access orders and complete exams.
• Obtain specimens and ensure adequate quantity for tests.
• Respond to draw requests with appropriate attention to urgency.
• Assist with scheduling of tests and appointments.
• Respect patient privacy and safeguard rights.
• Respond to life-saving situations per policies and protocols.
• Participate in departmental quality improvement activities.
• Stock supplies as necessary.
• Process specimens following laboratory protocol.
• Adhere to Riverside Medical Clinic policies and procedures.
