Job summary

LabCorp in Oklahoma City, OK is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our patient service center. You will perform blood collections, handle specimens, and provide courteous service to patients while ensuring accurate data entry.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent; preferred candidates have 2+ years of phlebotomy experience and familiarity with LabCorp procedures. Overtime and travel to other sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification or accredited training is required if you have no work experience.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Able to work in a fast paced, high volume environment.
• Exceptional customer service and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
