Responsibilities
Explain venipuncture clearly and courteously to patients.
Demonstrate needle techniques (straight and butterfly).
Ensure orders are understood and matched to specimens.
Label, centrifuge, and preserve samples as ordered.
Pack specimens for transport and maintain specimen integrity.
Adhere to OSHA and DEP regulations and attend trainings.
Answer calls and relay lab results to inquiries.
