Job summary

The Valley Health System is seeking a skilled phlebotomist to perform venipunctures and specimen collection for inpatients and outpatients at our Southern Nevada facilities. The role requires knowledge of testing and collection requirements and will operate under moderate supervision.

Qualified candidates will hold a phlebotomy certification and meet state licensing expectations within 6 months of hire; high school diploma or equivalent is preferred along with phlebotomy training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; phlebotomy training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification required upon hire; NV licensing within 6 months if applicable.
• Experience as lab assistant, phlebotomist, ER tech, LPN or paramedic preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs venipunctures and other specimen collections; has thorough knowledge of testing and collection requirements.
• Performs duties under moderate supervision and ensures proper specimen handling.
