Job summary

MUSC Health Florence Medical Center is seeking a full-time Phlebotomist to join our devoted Laboratory team in Florence, SC. You will draw blood samples, verify patient records, and prepare specimens for analysis in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities include finger-stick collection when needed, accurate labeling, and adherence to safety and quality standards. Requirements: high school diploma; BLS/CPR certification; and eligibility for ICCE Career Ladder progression.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Internal candidates must meet Path and Lab ICCE Career Ladder requirements.
• External candidates must complete Path and Lab ICCE Career Ladder requirements within 90 days in the position.

Responsibilities

• Draws and collects blood samples from patients.
• Verifies records and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis.
• May prick finger to draw blood and may interview patients.
