Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center® (LWRMC) in Bradenton, FL, is seeking a Phlebotomist for a full-time role with a 9am to 7:30pm schedule and every-other-weekend coverage. The position supports specimen collection and processing to ensure high-quality laboratory results.

Qualified candidates have a High School Diploma or GED and preferably a Phlebotomy certificate with some phlebotomy experience. Training on site will orient you to our procedures and LIS systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited Phlebotomy certificate program preferred.
• At least 3 months of active phlebotomy experience preferred.
• No license required; phlebotomy certification from a program is preferred.
• Recent graduates of phlebotomy certificate programs may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and/or assist in processing laboratory specimens to support quality results.
• Performs LIS and computer operations and clerical tasks as needed.
• Maintain accurate, timely communication and adhere to facility policies.
