Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a full-time Lab Technician within the Carolinas Medical Center - Reference Lab setting in the Concord area. The role involves phlebotomy, specimen processing, and reporting under a fast-paced clinical environment.

Locations include Gateway PSC (Concord) and Medical Arts PSC (Concord), with 40 hours per week and 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM scheduling. Strong knowledge of lab procedures and safety required; HS diploma or GED with phlebotomy certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Phlebotomy certification preferred for facilities where phlebotomy is an assigned duty.

Responsibilities

• Collects and processes patient blood by venipuncture and capillary puncture.
• Processes nonblood patient specimens accurately and timely.
• Assists in specimen preparation, receipt, and transport of patient specimens.
• Performs patient registration.
• Provides phone support for patient care areas.
