Job summary

Virtua Health in Marlton, NJ seeks a phlebotomist to collect patient specimens and perform routine testing preparations. Responsibilities include patient identification, labeling, sample handling and accurate clerical tasks to support the laboratory workflow.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, communication, and teamwork, with a schedule of 2:00pm–10:30pm and every other weekend. Prior phlebotomy training and state licensure requirements apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Formal phlebotomy training required.
• ASCP, NHA or AMT certification preferred.
• Previous customer service experience preferred in a medical setting.
• Good interpersonal and time management skills.

Work Schedule

2:00pm to 10:30pm plus every other weekend.

Job Summary

Adhere to correct policy and procedures in carrying out routine tasks. Collects and processes patient specimens for testing in adherence with laboratory protocols. Perform laboratory tests including pre- and post-analytic phases. Prepare samples/specimens for producing accurate and reliable results by following collection procedure.

Required Experience

Previous customer service experience with demonstrated ability to perform detailed clerical work. Previous experience working as a phlebotomist in a medical setting preferred. Good interpersonal and time management skills.

Required Education

High school diploma or equivalent.

Training / Certification / Licensure

Formal phlebotomy training required. ASCP, NHA or AMT certification preferred.

Salary

$18.89 - $27.81 Hourly
