Job summary

Sonic Healthcare USA is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to collect blood and other specimens across Brooklyn, Queens, Westchester and lower Connecticut. Hours are typically 7:30am–4:00pm, with a Saturday shift 7:30am–1:00pm and 40 hours per week.

This role requires a High School Diploma or GED, phlebotomy certification, and at least 6 months of experience. Strong customer service, reliable transportation for travel between Sunrise locations, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Obtain blood specimens and collect non-blood specimens such as urine, sputum, and throat swabs for laboratory testing
• Check the test requisition or computer label to assure correctness and completeness prior to collecting sample
• Follow all safety, infection control, and OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen guidelines
• Process specimens to prepare them for laboratory testing
• Ensure the Patient Service Center is clean, tidy and presentable

Location:

Float Phlebotomist Covering Brooklyn, Queens, Westchester and lower Connecticut

Days: Monday to Friday

Hours: 7:30am - 4:00pm; Monday to Friday and 7:30am - 1:00pm; Saturday and (Day Off TDB)

Full-time: Benefits Eligible

Hourly Rate: $23.50hr - $25.00/hr
