Job description

Shift: Monday - Friday, varied shifts between 7am & 5pm
Pay Range: $24.00 - $28.00/hr
Duration: 2 months with possible extension

Job Description

The Patient Services Representative, Floater, represents our company to patients visiting for routine health services or health decisions. The PSR draws quality blood samples, prepares specimens for lab testing, and maintains confidentiality and accuracy. The role involves direct patient contact, creating trust and confidence, and demonstrating leadership behaviors with a focus on process excellence.

Under supervision, perform daily activities accurately, maintain a safe environment, and handle forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing. Verify patient demographic information, label tubes in the presence of patients, and maintain records. Promote a positive image to patients and staff.

Job Requirements
  1. Ability to produce error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
  2. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  3. Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
  4. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
  5. Adherence to policies, safety, and dress code standards.
  6. Good judgment, reliable transportation, valid driver license, and clean driving record if applicable.
  7. Willingness to travel and work at multiple locations with short notice.
  8. Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
  9. Superior customer focus and effective communication skills.
  10. Adaptability to change and knowledge of business operations.
Training Locations

May vary based on trainer availability.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred; phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, WA).
  • Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
  • Preferred: 2+ years in a Patient Service Center environment.
