Labcorp – Phlebotomist Float

Labcorp is a global leader in diagnostic testing. We are seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team in Brown Deer, WI.

Job Details
  • Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, scheduled hours vary between 4:30am-7:00pm and rotating Saturdays
  • Work Locations: Brown Deer, Oconomowoc, Appleton, West Allis, and Milwaukee, WI
Responsibilities
  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
  • Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely
  • Process billing information and collect payments when necessary
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients
  • Carry out administrative and clerical duties as necessary
  • Travel to additional sites when needed
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Proof of Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency (if lacking experience)
  • Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record with reliable transportation
  • At least 21 years old
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service record
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience

Float Incentive and Benefits

Float Incentive: Additional $2.00 per hour plus mileage reimbursement

Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

  • Employees scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
  • Employees scheduled to work less than 20 hours, casual, intern, and temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
  • Employees scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
