Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float Casual to join our Nevada team, serving Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Henderson and surrounding areas. This role is casual/PRN, up to 19 hours per week, with hours varying Monday through Saturday between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm.

The position requires NV license and phlebotomy experience; travel to multiple sites will be necessary. Benefits and a pay range are provided, with the potential for additional incentive and mileage reimbursement.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection for all ages.

• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain logs for patient and specimen information
• Provide superior customer service to patients
• Travel to additional sites as needed

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float Casual to join our team in Nevada and surrounding areas, to include, but not limited to Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Henderson, and Pahrump.

Work Schedule: This is a casual/PRN position for no more than 19 hours per week. Hours will be "as needed" but the start and end times will vary from Monday - Saturday 7:00 am - 6:00 pm.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications

• Nevada state issued laboratory assistant license

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist
• Current or Prior Labcorp experience 1 year or more experience drawing on pediatrics to geriatrics

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of state license requirement listed above, an application for a lab assistant license filed with the NV Department of Health at time of hire may meet license requirement
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
• Reliable transportation
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Float Incentive

Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement.

Pay Range: $17.75 - $27.69 per hour All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

• Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
• Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
• Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
