Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float Casual to perform blood collections and processing across multiple sites in Overland Park, KS and surrounding areas. This casual/PRN role operates with flexible hours from 7am–6pm, requiring strong customer service and accurate data entry.

The position emphasizes phlebotomy skills, reliability, and the ability to travel to additional sites as needed, with incentives including an incentive plan and float pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 months or more phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Current or prior Labcorp experience preferred.
• Must pass color blindness test and driving requirements where applicable.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Location: Overland Park, KS and surrounding areas.

Work Schedule

This is a casual/PRN position; hours will be "as needed" but the start and end times will vary from 7am - 6pm.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
• Current or Prior Labcorp experience

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
• Be at least 21 years’ old
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Float Incentive

Float Incentive: Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement.

Phlebotomist's may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

• Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
• Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
