Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team in Edison, NJ, covering Somerset and Middlesex counties. Schedule varies with hours between 7:00am–10:00pm and rotating Saturdays. The role includes blood collection, specimen handling, data entry, and travel to additional sites as needed.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED with 2+ years of phlebotomy experience and bilingual English/Spanish abilities. Certification or accredited training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.

• Process billing information and collect payments when needed.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen logs.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients.
• Handle administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites as required.

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team in Edison , NJ. (covering Somerset and Middlesex county)

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, scheduled hours vary between 7:00am-10:00pm and rotating Saturdays 8:00am-3:00pm

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent 2 years or more experience as a phlebotomist
• Bilingual in English and Spanish

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 years or more of phlebotomy experience

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work overtime as neededAble to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record with reliable transportation
• Be at least 21 years’ old

**Pay Range: $17.75 - $24.00 per hour

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data

Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics

Float Incentive: Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement

Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
