Job summary

Labcorp, a global leader in diagnostic testing, is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our Liverpool, NY team. This role offers exposure to diverse clinics and patients, with opportunities to grow within the Labcorp network.

You will perform venipuncture, collect specimens, enter data accurately, and provide excellent patient service across locations. A valid phlebotomy certification and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or a completed training program from an accredited agency.
• 6 months or more experience as a Phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist - Float to join our team at 5100 West Taft Road, Suite 2L, Liverpool, New York.

Work Schedule:

Monday – Friday, scheduled hours vary between 7:00am – 5:30 pm, and rotating Saturdays

Job Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification or a completed training program from an accredited agency
• 6 months or more experience as a Phlebotomist

Preferred Qualification

• 1 year or more as a Phlebotomist

• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication (listening, verbal, and written) skills
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Must have a Valid Driver's License and clean driving record with reliable transportation
• Must be at least 21 years’ old
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Pay Range:

$20.00 to 24.00 per hour

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data

Phlebotomist’s may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Float Incentive: Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement
