Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our Springfield MA team. The role involves performing venipuncture and capillary blood draws, collecting specimens for various tests, and ensuring accurate data entry and billing where required.

You will travel between sites to support patient care and maintain specimen logs. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and phlebotomy certification or equivalent training; 6+ months experience is acceptable.

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 6+ months phlebotomy experience.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test and maintain patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient information accurately in the system and process billing when needed.
• Prepare specimens for testing and maintain logs for patients and samples.
• Provide superior customer service to patients and travel to additional sites as needed.

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team in Springfield MA

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, scheduled hours vary between 8:30 am - 4:00 pm, 6 hour shifts with Saturdays as needed

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed_._

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 6 or more months phlebotomy experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current or previous LabCorp experience
• 1 or more years phlebotomy experience

Additional Job Standards:

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record with reliable transportation
• Be at least 21 years’ old

**Pay Range: $21.00 - $27.00 per hour

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data

Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics
