Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Springfield, MA. The role involves venipuncture and capillary blood collection for a wide age range, specimen handling, data entry, and patient service.

Responsibilities include travel to additional sites as needed, basic billing support, and maintaining accurate logs. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and phlebotomy certification or training; Labcorp experience is preferred.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm with Saturdays as needed.

Job Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications

• Current or Previous LabCorp experience
• 6 months or more experience as a phlebotomist

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Benefits

• Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
• Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
• Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.

Pay Range: $21.00 - $27.00 per hour. All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. Phlebotomist’s may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
