Job description

Position

LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join their team in Laguna Hills, CA. Work schedule is Monday to Friday with hours varying between 6:00am-6:00pm. Additional hours and rotating weekends may be required.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Complete administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• California state issued Phlebotomy license (CPT).

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 or more years of experience as a phlebotomist.
• Current or prior experience with LabCorp.

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of state license requirement, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the CA Department of Health at time of hire may satisfy the requirement.
• 6 months or more of phlebotomy experience with geriatric and pediatric patients.
• Pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.

Pay Range

$23.00-$33.00 per hour. Float incentive: Additional $1.50/hr plus mileage reimbursement.
