Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team across Kingwood, Spring and surrounding Houston, TX locations. You will perform blood collections, collect specimens for various tests, and maintain accurate patient data across clinics.

Responsibilities include processing specimens, assisting with billing, and providing excellent patient service. A valid driver’s license and phlebotomy certification or training are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred or required by accrediting body.
• Valid driver’s license may be needed for travel between sites.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, tests, or other analyses.
• Enter patient data accurately in the system.
• Process billing information and coordinate with sites as needed.
• Prepare specimens for testing and maintain logs.
• Provide exceptional patient service across multiple locations.
• Travel to additional Labcorp sites as required.

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team in Kingwood and Spring, TX areas.

Work Schedule:

Monday – Friday hours will vary between 7am – 6pm, and rotating Saturdays; additional days and hours may be required

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years or more experience as a phlebotomist
• Current or Prior Labcorp experience

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
• Be at least 21 years’ old
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Phlebotomist’s may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Float Incentive:

Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement

Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
