Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team in Annapolis, MD and surrounding areas. You will perform venipuncture, collect specimens, and provide patient-centered care in a fast-paced setting. The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with 6:00am–6:00pm shifts, potential Saturdays, and a sign-on bonus.

Candidates with phlebotomy certification or training and a valid driver's license are encouraged to apply. Travel to additional sites may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months+ experience as a phlebotomist.
• 2 years or more of phlebotomy experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid Driver’s license with clean driving record and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Other Duties as assigned.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (hours vary) 6:00am - 6:00pm; Saturdays as assigned

Job Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency may meet requirements
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Travel to additional sites
• Valid Driver’s license with clean driving record with reliable transportation
• Be at least 21 years’ of age

Sign on Bonus $1500.00 (external applicants only)

Pay Range: $17.75 - $26.00 per hour

Float Incentive: Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement

• Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
• Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
• Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
