The role requires a high school diploma or GED, CPR-BLS certification, and phlebotomy training experience. Travel between patient service centers and hospitals is required, with strong customer service and communication skills essential.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Certification: CPR-BLS required; ASCP certification preferred.
• Phlebotomy training experience strongly preferred.
• Good communication, organization, and customer service skills; reliable transportation to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and special phlebotomy procedures as authorized by supervisor.
• Order tests in Laboratory and Hospital systems and document specimen receipt.
• Collect patient specimens appropriate for age and population served.
• Collect blood samples ensuring correct tubes and adequate volume.
