Position Overview:

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking a part-time, Phlebotomist to join our mission-driven healthcare team at Saint Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury, CT. Our goal is to deliver state-of-the-art healthcare to our local communities, positively impacting each individual who walks through our doors. The role involves providing skilled phlebotomy, specimen processing, and other laboratory assistance as needed. Your work is crucial to patient diagnosis, treatment, and care.

Responsibilities:
  • Properly identify patients according to policy and perform venipuncture using standard or butterfly methods.
  • Label all specimens following laboratory policy.
  • Receive, cancel, and process laboratory/microbiology specimens.
Work Hours/Shift:

20 hours, evening/night shifts, rotating weekends and holidays. Must be available to start second shift by 2:30 or 3:00 pm.

Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a phlebotomy program.
  • Certification: National Phlebotomy Certification preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy experience in a blood draw station, ambulatory care, or acute care setting.
