Job summary

Advocate Health in Sheboygan County is hiring a full-time phlebotomy technician to support patient safety and specimen collection. You will perform venipuncture, label and track specimens, and assist with billing and inventory, under CLIA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates knowledge in phlebotomy or related lab functions.
• Basic computer skills including software usage.
• Keyboarding/typing skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; good listening.

Responsibilities

• Verifies patient identification and prepares specimens.
• Performs venipuncture and collects specimens per protocol.
• Labeling and tracking of specimens; resolve id/requisition issues.
• Performs CLIA‑level testing according to policies.
• Answer calls, assist with inventory and billing support.
• Operates equipment and participates in QA/QC procedures.
• Instructs staff and students in phlebotomy and specimen processing.
• Demonstrates age‑appropriate patient care across the life span.
