Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college coursework a plus.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills; professional demeanor.
• Must be able to work varied schedules including early mornings, evenings and weekends.
• Able to stand for extended periods and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform donor registration, vital signs, screening, phlebotomy and related recordkeeping.
• Handle autologous, directed, therapeutic, testing and other blood collection services as assigned.
• Follow SOPs and ensure blood products are collected per FDA and regulatory standards.
• Assist supervisor with daily paperwork and documentation.
• Communicate equipment concerns and donor questions to supervisor.
• Educate donors about donation frequency and the impact on blood supply.
• Maintain a professional, welcoming donor environment; perform other duties as needed.
