Job summary

Labcorp in Lima, OH is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. Work schedule is Monday–Friday 7:30am–12:30pm with Saturday rotations.

You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary methods, prepare specimens for testing, enter patient data accurately and assist with billing while delivering outstanding customer service. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program, or 3 months experience as a phlebotomist.
• Preferred: 1 year+ phlebotomy experience.
• Must pass a color blindness test.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests.
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
