Job summary

AdventHealth in Hendersonville, NC is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to perform venipuncture and specimen collection in a fast-paced clinical lab environment. This full-time role requires attention to detail, ability to work independently or with a team, and flexibility to cover nights or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a clinical setting.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Transports hazardous waste from the point of generation to a designated secure storage area; completes required training.
• Troubleshoot phlebotomy service concerns and coordinate daily workload assignments.
• Performs venipuncture and microtainer collection accurately and efficiently.
• Ensures specimens are correctly labeled and orders are received properly; prioritizes routine specimens.
• Follows safety policies including PPE use, handwashing, and hazardous chemical handling.
