Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic's Saint Francis Hospital in Wilmington is seeking a Phlebotomist to join the Day shift. The role requires accurate specimen collection, proper labeling, and entry of physician orders into the LIS system, while maintaining patient comfort and safety.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, phlebotomy training or certification, and relevant clerical experience; prior work with infants is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required or completion of a phlebotomy course with externship.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Experience with phlebotomy, including infants/young children, is desirable.
• Clerical experience and LIS familiarity are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Approaches patients professionally and identifies them per policy.
• Ensures physician orders are entered accurately into the system(LIS).
• Collects, transports, and processes specimens using proper procedures.
• Labels specimens with correct information.
• Performs LIS support and clerical duties.
• Maintains a phlebotomy schedule to ensure adequate staffing.
