Job summary

Labcorp in Crawfordville, FL is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages, prepare specimens for testing and maintain patient records.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED; preferred is 1 year+ phlebotomy experience and a certified training. Valid driver's license and strong customer service are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year or more phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification or accredited training required if no work experience.
• Proven track record in exceptional customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to work independently or in a team.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately
• Process billing information and collect payments when necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Saturday rotating schedule

• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record with reliable transportation
• Be at least 21 years’ old

Float Incentive

Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement

• Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
• Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
• Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
