Job summary

Labcorp in Waycross, GA is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our patient-facing team. You will perform venipuncture and capillary collections, handle specimens, enter patient data, and support billing and administrative duties.

A strong focus on exceptional customer service and accurate, timely work is essential. Typical schedule is Monday through Friday between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm with potential weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training or 3+ months experience.
• Preferred: 1+ year as phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Data entry of patient information accurately.
• Process billing information and collect payments.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

LabCorp is seeking a phlebotomist to join our team in Waycross, GA. At LabCorp we have a passion in helping people live happy and healthy lives. We are currently seeking a phlebotomist to work in either a Patient Service Center or Client office. In this role you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. In addition, you will be provided opportunities for continuous growth within the organization. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday anywhere between the hour of 7:00am - 5:00pm, with rotating weekends hours may vary as this is a casual position.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications:

• One year or more experience as a phlebotomist

Additional Job Standards:

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency or previous experience as a phlebotomist
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Have a Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record with reliable transportation
• Be at least 21 years’ old

Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Float Incentive:

• Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement

Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.

Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
