Job summary

The Keystone Distinction Group is seeking a Phlebotomist for a 3-month contract in Fairbanks, AK, with potential for permanent placement. Schedule is 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, with benefits available.

Responsibilities include venipuncture, labeling and processing specimens, maintaining accurate records, and complying with OSHA/DEP regulations. Minimum qualifications: current phlebotomy certification, 6+ months of venipuncture experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Current phlebotomy certification for the state of employment.
• Minimum 6 months' experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures; ensures correct labeling and test requisitions.
• Explain clearly and courteously the venipuncture process and other specimen collection procedures to patients.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and package specimens for transport.
• Adhere to OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual trainings.
