Minimum 6 months venipuncture experience, valid phlebotomy certification, High School diploma or GED, and proficiency with Microsoft Office are required.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the employing state.
• Minimum 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and specimen labeling; centrifuge and maintain data.
• Collect, label, and process specimens; explain venipuncture process to patients.
• Match requisition forms to tubes; label, centrifuge, split and freeze as needed.
• Verify test requisitions against scripts to ensure accuracy.
• Package specimens for transport; comply with OSHA/DEP regulations and trainings.
