Job summary

Connectly Recruiting seeks a Phlebotomist to perform blood draws, label and process specimens, and maintain accurate documentation in a hospital/lab setting. You will follow established procedures, explain the venipuncture process to patients, and ensure specimen integrity through proper handling and transport.

Responsibilities include collecting and labeling samples, centrifuging and storing specimens, and updating patient information while adhering to OSHA/DEP regulations and departmental

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explains venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Demonstrates technique with straight needles and butterfly needles as required.
• Matches requisition forms to specimen tubes and labels.
• Packages specimens for transport and stores samples according to protocol.
