Job summary

True North Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role in Latham, NY. Schedule: 6:30am-5:30pm, Monday–Friday with alternating Saturday shifts. Duration: 3 months with potential for permanent placement.

Responsibilities include performing venipunctures, labeling and processing specimens, and maintaining accurate records. Requires 6 months of phlebotomy experience and state certification, plus a high school diploma or GED, and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where employed.
• Minimum of 6 months’ venipuncture experience in a fast-paced setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Experience performing blood draws, labeling and processing specimens.
• Collects, labels, centrifuges and stores specimens per protocol.
• Explain procedures clearly to patients and maintain accuracy of results.
• Check test requisitions and prepare specimens for transport.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and department trainings.
