Job summary

Valley Regional Hospital is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in New Hampshire. The role focuses on drawing blood efficiently with minimal discomfort while ensuring patient safety and accurate documentation in LIS.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, venipuncture training, and optional Phlebotomy/BLS certification along with a valid driver’s license. This full-time position offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 80 hours of venipuncture/skin puncture training.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; driver’s license and BLS certified.

Responsibilities

• Identify the patient using requisition and ID band before venipuncture.
• Review orders for accuracy before drawing samples.
• Document orders and collect data in LIS.
• Maintain courteous, professional conduct with patients and staff.
• Perform patient care to optimize safety and reduce errors.
• Label and record test tubes; file paperwork.
• Know color of tubes and volumes required; follow precautions.
