Job summary

Humboldt Park Health is a 200-bed acute care facility serving the Humboldt Park community. We are seeking a phlebotomist responsible for proper patient identification, blood collection by venipuncture or capillary puncture, labeling specimens, and ensuring CAP/TJC and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of phlebotomy experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• CPI within 30 days required.

Responsibilities

• Properly ensure identification of patient prior to sample collection.
• Proper collection of all lab specimens within scope of duties.
• Prepare and maintain lab area in accordance with CAP/TJC requirements.
• Clerical duties as needed.
• Schedules and plans workflow to meet patient needs.
