Job summary

Privia Laboratory is seeking a skilled and reliable Phlebotomist to join our dedicated team in Dallas, TX. This role is essential for providing exceptional laboratory services to our partnered clinics and their patients.

Training and onboarding will be provided; current Phlebotomy Certification is required. The candidate will perform phlebotomy procedures, manage supplies, and ensure safety protocols are followed.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification required.
• Experience with Athena EHR requisitions is preferred.
• Ability to order, stock and discard expired supplies.

Responsibilities

• Performs proper procedures to obtain blood specimens, ensuring patient identification.
• Acts as liaison between Privia Labs and physicians' offices to provide excellent service to patients, providers and staff.
• Reviews requisitions in Athena EHR for missing diagnosis codes, recurrent orders, or missing information.
• Ensures the phlebotomy area is clean and organized and that biohazards/sharps are disposed of properly.
• Assists in the main lab when needed and maintains patient confidentiality.
• Attends staff meetings and communicates issues with managers and directors.
