Job summary

Texas Health Care PLCC is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join Privia Laboratory. The role involves performing phlebotomy at multiple locations, ensuring proper patient identification, and delivering high-quality laboratory services to partnered clinics.

The position requires current phlebotomy certification and preferred Medical Assistant Certification, with opportunities to contribute in a dynamic clinical setting. Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm, Texas area.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant Certification preferred
• Current Phlebotomy Certification required - NPS, NCCT, NHA, NPA
• Obtain blood specimens with proper patient identification and safety procedures

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy to obtain blood specimens with correct patient identification.
• Serve as liaison between Privia Labs and physician offices to provide excellent service.
• Order and stock supplies; discard expired items and maintain stock levels.
• Review NextGen (EHR) requisitions for missing codes and information.
• Print or send requisitions from EHR to LIS as requested by offices.
• Ensure proper specimens are drawn for ordered tests and maintain a clean, safe phlebotomy area.
• Assist in the main lab when needed and support patients as required.
• Instruct patients on proper specimen collection techniques.
• Report problems to Office Manager, Phlebotomy Lead, Client Service Manager, or Laboratory Director.
