Job summary

Sentara Health in Hampton, VA is seeking an experienced phlebotomist-clinical lab assistant to perform patient phlebotomy and support registration and testing in the outpatient lab.

You will collect and label specimens, enter data, and monitor supplies while delivering excellent patient service. A high school diploma is required; phlebotomy training and 1 year of experience are preferred.

Overview

As a phlebotomist-clinical lab assistant the duties are to perform patient phlebotomy while maintaining the highest level of customer service. Collects, labels, and processes patient specimens for testing. Responsible for registration and test data entry. Monitors supply levels.

Education

• High School Grad or Equivalent (required)


• Phlebotomy course (preferred)

Certification/Licensure

• Phlebotomy certification (Preferred)


• 1 year of experience (preferred)


• BLS required within 90 days of hire
