Job summary

Sentara Health is seeking an experienced Phlebotomist - Clinical Lab Assistant to work flexi days at the Sentara Careplex West Outpatient Lab in Hampton, VA. You will perform patient phlebotomy, label and process specimens, and handle test data entry while delivering exceptional customer service.

The role requires a high school diploma, phlebotomy training (preferred) and a phlebotomy certification (preferred). BLS is required within 90 days of hire, with about 1 year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Overview

Sentara Health is hiring an experienced Phlebotomist - Clinical Lab Assistant to work flexi days at the Sentara Careplex West Outpatient Lab in Hampton, VA! As a phlebotomist-clinical lab assistant the duties are to perform patient phlebotomy while maintaining the highest level of customer service. Collects, labels, and processes patient specimens for testing. Responsible for registration and test data entry. Monitors supply levels.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $19.88 - $29.43 hourly.

Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
