Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Client Office Phlebotomist-Float for a full-time role based in the downtown Chicago area. The position involves phlebotomy and other lab specimen collections, with travel to client sites as needed.

Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5pm, with two weekends per month. The base hourly rate includes float differential compensation and the job supports patient safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or training from a phlebotomy program.
• Experience in healthcare settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy and other lab specimen collections per age related standards.
• Provides appropriate post-phlebotomy patient care.
• Identifies need for patient medical assistance and call code as appropriate.
• Follows up with all outstanding orders on manifest log and communicates results to staff.
